Planetarium Director to Talk in Art Theatre's "Science on Screen"

Dave Leake to lead post-screening discussion of "Close Encounters" Feb. 26

Wednesday, February 14, 2018
Staerkel Planetarium Director David Leake will provide his take on life around the cosmos as it relates to a science film classic showing at the Art Theater Feb. 26.

Leake's discussion for the Art Theater's Science on Screen® series will follow the screening of the 1977 film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" by Steven Spielberg, showing at 7:30 p.m.

Residents are invited to join the Art Theater every Monday between February 12 and March 12 for a movie and post-screening discussion led by an expert in a field related to the film’s themes. Science on Screen® is an initiative of the Coolidge Corner Theatre, with major support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. For more on the series, visit thearttheater.org/science-screen-series.
